"This Lewes, Del. native and resident of Milton, Del. - where he recently opened a studio and gallery - sees a unique intensity of color in the natural world that so obviously intoxicates him. Although many of this maturing artist's works reach into the realm of the surreal, paintings such as this recent "Tilghman Island" challenge the viewer to look carefully at details in the natural world. There are split seconds at sunrise and sunset - and when storms are coming or going - when the light of the real world becomes fantastical. The works of Abraxas do what nature and time don't allow: they capture those intense seconds and preserve them so we can indulge ourselves for as long as we want. Abraxas' studio and gallery is located at 515 Federal Street in Milton. See other works at www.AbraxasArt.com"
