Abraxas unveils latest print, "Noontide"

Native Cape Region artist Abraxas unveiled his latest collectible print, "Noontide," to the public during a print release party held Saturday evening, April 8, at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel.

"Noontide," a scene in the Greek fishing village of Navplion, was commissioned by a prominent art collector who had been to Greece when Abraxas was in the State of Washington last summer.

His first print, "First Light," a scene of the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse, sold out within the first year in 1977, while two other prints, "Lookout," showing the WWII towers, and "Winter at the Beach," a snow covered beach at sunrise, are available, although the former is almost sold out. "Noontide" is available unframed for $200, while framed versions are $400 and up, by calling Abraxas at 645-9119.

Abraxas, shown below with one of the "Noontide" prints, is now busy with private commissions and researching his next public piece.
