July 1998 Sidewalk Art Show

Local artist Brax Hudson displayed his paintings and was one of many who reported strong sales. Brax is shown here with the oil painting he did for the invitation for the Millennium Celebration planned for the Lewes Ferry Terminal in Dec. 31, 1999. The painting shows the East End Light of the Delaware Breakwater.

Painting proceeds to benefit Cape band. Betty Goldbach, right, owner of Misty Harbor Gifts, presents a print of the Cape Henlopen Light House, "First Light" by Abraxas, left, to assist the fundraising efforts of the Cape Henlopen High School band and chorus. The band and chorus is raising money to go to London. Misty Harbor Gifts is located on the front porch of the Lighthouse Restaurant, on the east side of the canal in Lewes. Prints and framed prints by Abraxas can be purchased in the gift shop. Goldbach was previously a bus driver for the Cape district. Abraxas, a renowned artist, is a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Goldbach donated the print she purchased so the Cape Band Boosters can use it to raise funds for the upcoming trip.
